Description
The Col de la Belle Combe is a small saddle abutting the Aiguille de la Belle Combe. The route unfolds in the western sector of the Coumba Freida by initially traversing the Comba de Merdeux and then penetrating into the little-known Belle Combe, a wide valley nestled between the Aiguille de la Belle Combe and the Coast des Ceingles that ends with the Petit Golliat.

Ha già detto tutto l’amico Andrealp. Sciatona da urlo, 5 stelle per 1000 metri buoni, velluto e cremina da sballo! Il Vallone di Merdeux nella parte stretta è ancora ben innevato ma la neve era ovviamente bagnata anche se sciabilissima fino al piazzale del ghiaccio. Noi siamo rimasti ai bordi del torrente rinunciando a qualche curva e preferendo qualche derapata in più anche se probabilmente non si sfonda ancora. Gita per molti inedita 🚩 e giornata FullHD in bella compagnia con 18 Amici di 4 Cai +il simpatico Baldo. Grazie alla nocchiera Emanuela

Condizioni meteo eccezionali e innevamento solo discreto fino a quota 1.900 e dopo più abbondante. Manto nevoso morbido e rampant non necessari neppure sul ripido pendio finale del vallone di Belle Combe. Dal colle panorami al top con vista super sopratutto sul Monte Bianco. Discesa iniziata alle 12.30 un po’ delicata solo nel tratto sommitale per il rischio di provocare distacchi, poi meraviglioso manto primaverile fino a Crevacol, leggermente umido ma sciabilissimo anche sotto quota 2.000. Giornata super e complimenti ai capi gita Manuela e Carlos del C.A.I. di Casale Monferrato. Oggi presenti in 18 (con rappresentanze anche di Chivasso e Pianezza) più il cane Baldo, quasi instancabile.

Overview
This route is not very well known and therefore suitable for those who love solitude in the mountains in search of untouched slopes to trace with their own volutes.
The first part of the route takes place at the bottom of the narrow valley and should be done when the side slopes have already discharged. The final section is very steep and to be tackled only with safe snow.
From the Col de Belle Combe one can enjoy a valuable view of the Mont Blanc Massif and the Val Ferret below, but the view of the sharp peaks that surround the Belle Combe certainly remains very interesting, not least the unusual view of the Petit Golliat.
The descent takes place on the same route as the ascent with pleasant changes of slope that enrich the pleasure of skiing.
The overall difficulty is fairly high, both in terms of development and approach to the pass, and is recommended for good ski mountaineers.
Reaching the start
Leave the road that climbs to the Great St. Bernard Pass on the right and continue on the E27 highway until you meet, on the right, the exit for the Crevacol ski resort.
Continue for about 500 m until you reach the station's large parking lot on its westernmost side.
The route
Carry on skirting the hamlet of Devies and, without overcoming any great inclines, enter the Vallon de Merdeux passing Limassey and reaching the Pots Alp 1791 m.
Now go along the bottom of the Vallon de Merdeux and then climb on the right up to the Tsa de Merdeux 2273 m.
Move left and climb the steep slope to the left of the little valley until you reach the gully that leads to the pass.
Progress into the center of the gully before beginning the final ascent with a slightly left turn that brings us to the foot of the final slope. Finally, proceed with the necessary inversions until reaching the saddle at an altitude of 2982 m.
Descent:
The descent takes place on the ascent route and without any particular obligatory passages. On the whole pleasant and smooth except for the final section where there is the need to push a little.

Gorgia ben coperta. Per la precisione non sono andato al colle, perché l’ultimo tratto zoccolava, ma ho risalito il canale alla destra del colle, che sbuca sulla spalla del Petit Golliat (tutta la Comba è la festa dei canali). A 3000 m. mi son fermato : 40*, senza ramponi, la neve diventava decisamente brutta. I 100m. di canale ventata pesante dignitosa, poi un tratto di brutta ventata alternata crosta, dal raccordo col col des Ceingles umida molto divertente fino in fondo.

Description
eccezionale gita per bellezza e qualità del percorso. tecnica e varia. risalire il canyon può diventare complicato (utili rampant per chi ce li ha). I due pendii sommitali invece sono incredibili e gli scenari lasciano senza fiato. Ultimo pendio fino al colle ripido ma si affronta relativamente bene evitando le placche lisciate dal vento. Ci siamo fermati a 30m sotto il colle per non perdere troppo tempo. Molto caldo, scendere tra mezzogiorno e l’una appena trasforma ma non aspettare troppo. Visto qualche valanga a bocca di balena decisamente inquietante.
