This beautiful loop, almost entirely in the woods, leads to a peak that overlooks the village of Bosses.
In some sections the trail is not very visible and care must be taken in following the correct path.

Description
La vista sulla Tete du Bois è superlativa, ma la poderale….devastante. Ho lasciato la macchina nel parcheggio davanti al camping Pineta. Da qui ho seguito le indicazioni per il 7A: inizialmente la poderale è tutta in ombra e garantisce un po’ di fresco, poi tutto sole e non ho trovato fonti d’acqua su tutto il percorso. Tagliato per prati fino a Flassin Desot, poi sempre poderale. La palina indicatrice del sentiero che sale a Bois de Quart non è facilmente visibile perché risulta nascosta dagli alberi, bisogna fare attenzione. Da qui il sentiero prosegue prima in piano con qualche sali e scendi e poi sale, ma con pochi e brevi tratti ripidi. In mezz’ora ero in cima a godermi il panorama. Scesa con il bel sentiero 7, che procede con diversi sali e scendi fino a Tza de Flassin. E da qui….poderale…poderale….poderale fino al parcheggio.

Overview
In some sections the trail is not very visible and care must be taken in following the correct path.
Reaching the start
At Saint-Oyen, leave the E27 state road by turning left, before the village, following the "Flassin-Cerisey" signs.
Continue for about 2600 m until you reach the parking lot in front of Cerisey near the bridge.
The route
Continue along the road until you cross the creek on the bridge, after a hundred meters take the rural road to the left until you find on your left a nice mule track between two stone walls that leads to the Meriby Alp.
Follow it until you reach higher up again the rural road.
Follow it to the left until the end, leave on the right the path that goes up towards Col Citrin and cross the stream.
Just after it begins a track that you follow for a stretch and then take (barely visible) on the left the path that leads to the Tête du Bois de Quart.
The path goes up for a stretch and then crosses to the left into the dense forest until you reach a clearing where signs of the cutting of the forest are visible.
At this point you turn right and climb with several turns up the steep forest of firs first and larches later.
Almost at the end of the forest you turn left and come out on the final ridge, a last stretch to the right and you reach the cross of the Tête du Bois de Quart.
The view sweeps over the head of the valley of the Great St. Bernard and in particular the valley that leads to the pass of the same name.
Downhill, follow the uphill trail for a short distance and then, when it turns decisively to the left, go straight down.
You pass near a characteristic Forestry Service hut and then near a small spring before moving decisively to the right.
The trail crosses the forest halfway up the hillside until it reaches the valley floor at around 2100 meters.
Cross the stream and reach the rural road. We now follow the rural road until we reach and pass the several pastures of Flassin.
After the Flassin Desot alp at the end of the clearing we turn left to cross the stream and continue along a rural road that passes near the Rond alp and reaches the parking lot where we left the car.

Description
Saliti partendo dal piccolo posteggio dopo Pont, volendo fare l’anello coi sentieri 8C in salita e 8D in discesa (lato Citrin). Al bivio in salita una frana ha sconvolto la zona: per l’8C bisogna attraversare il torrente, andando a sinistra; poi è sempre ben tracciato e porta in vetta. Di li’ l’8D non è indicato: c’è un’esile traccia, ma non ci siamo fidati e siamo tornati dalla via di salita. Quindi abbiamo fatto una salita diretta, senza anello.

Description
Escursione in una zona per me nuova. Saliti dal campeggio la Pineta (ampio parcheggio). Seguito la poderale che si inoltra nel vallone del Flassin (questo tratto al mattino è tutto in ombra e vista la temperatura di questa mattina 6° ….). Dopo circa 1h 30 si trova una palina con l’indicazione del sentiero 7a che abbiamo preso abbandonando la strada. (l’indicazione riporta un tempo di 30 m. ma è sbagliata ci vuole circa un’ora). Il sentiero prosegue in senso inverso alla salita con molti saliscendi fino a quando riprende a salire con alcuni tornanti. Si arriva al Bivacco della Forestale che si trova pochi metri sotto la punta dove è stata posata una croce. Il panorama è veramente bellissimo, vista anche la stupenda giornata. Dopo una corposa pausa con tanto si sonnellino …abbiamo preso un bellissimo sentiero a mezza costa che porta all’alpeggio Tsa de Flassin (allungando sensibilmente il tragitto). Questo tratto è stupendo con i colori autunnali. Siamo poi scesi lungo la poderale fino alla partenza.

In compagnia di Giorgio. Gita facile ma consigliatissima. Ovviamente non incontrato anima viva escluso un camoscio. Sentito il bramito dei cervi.
