Description
The long valley of Flassin is one of the places where it is possible to see deer, if it is carried out in autumn you can hear the loud roaring of the males.
From the summit it is possible to enjoy a beautiful view of the Mont Blanc chain

Overview
From the summit it is possible to enjoy a beautiful view of the Mont Blanc chain
The first part of the route mainly follows the rural road up to the Tsa de Flassin and follows the route of the Tour of Mont Fallère.
The last part becomes steeper until you reach the summit from which the view sweeps over the entire upper valley of the Great St. Bernard.
In the last section (after the junction to col Flassin) the trail is not very visible, it can be an opportunity to practice using GPS on your smartphone, this last section is not suitable for children because it crosses steep pastures.
Reaching the start
At Saint-Oyen, leave the E27 state road and turn left, before the village, following the "Flassin-Cerisey" signs.
Proceed for a couple more kilometers until you reach the entrance to the Flassin rural road where you leave your car.
The route
After a first part in the larch forest, you arrive in a wide clearing.
The road continues on its left edge passing the pastures of Flassin Desot and Flassin Meiten.
You enter the forest again until you reach Flassin Damon with its characteristic little chapel.
You continue into the forest, always at a moderate slope, until you come out at the beginning of the wide basin of Flassin.
You continue to the left and then cross and reach the pasture of Tsa di Flassin where the rural road ends.
From this point, the trail becomes decidedly steeper.
Rescend in the direction of Col Flassin until you come near a small stream.
At this point (stone with marker for col Flassin) the slender track (in the first section not very visible) departs to the right and crosses to the right.
You reach two small lakes and then climb with some traverses the steep slope of the Tête Cordellaz.
Reaching the wide ridge with a last stretch to the right slightly uphill you reach the summit of the Tête Cordellaz.
