Salito in cima Sceso alle 11,20 Ampie zone intonse soprattutto stando lato Vertosan in discesa Neve morbida al punto giusto a quell’ora. Stradina parecchio ravanata 200m. Di prato da fare a piedi alla fine.

Overview
The route, within a gentle north-facing valley, guarantees good snow conditions for almost the entire ski mountaineering season.
The route climbs steadily, partly over clearings and a few small sections in the woods, and the ascent, although nearly 1400 meters in elevation gain, is fairly easy.
Normally skis are left in the wide hump below the summit, from there continue on foot, possibly with crampons in case of hard snow.
It is also possible to ascend from the Citrin valley and descend from this side.
Reaching the start
At Saint-Oyen, leave the E27 state road by turning left, before the village, following the "Flassin-Cerisey" signs.
Continue for about 2000 m until you reach the parking lot of the foyer du fond in Flassin.
The route
At the end of the first clearing, cross the docile stream and ascend the next clearing to the Flassin dessous alp.
With an unobstructed route, you continue the ascent, following mainly the summer driveway past the hamlets of Flassin du milieu and into the valley that slowly opens into the beautiful Comba de Flassin.
A flat section is reached in view of Tsa de Flassin 2250 m, which is reached by overcoming a short slope. Leave the alpine pastures to the right and continue, with a steeper section, in the direction of the depression between Mont Flassin and Tête Cordellaz climbing the wide slope until reaching the watershed ridge with the Vallon de Citrin. Turn left and ascend the wide ridge as far as possible on skis and then on foot.
Descent:
From the antecedent you descend on foot the first steep slope (or possibly with good snow in derapage) until where the crest widens and you can put on skis.
You follow it for a stretch and then turn decisively to the right and reach by beautiful slopes the Tsa de Flassin alp.
From the hut cross the wide basin completely to reach the other slope and descend among the sparse larches to the woods.
You continue into the woods (or possibly follow the road) you pass near a nice building until you reach a large clearing that you descend to where it narrows, at this point you cross the stream and along the last slopes you reach the parking lot.

Description
Parte iniziale alta un po’ ventata, poi nel canale a sx farina bellissima. Appena sotto le baite ancora bella. Dopo grumi durissimi da valanga con leggera spolverata. Infine pesante e un po’ crostosa in basso.

Ci siamo fermati alle baite causa scarsa visibilità. La neve è sciabile fino alla fine del bosco diventa pessima nei pratoni finali, siamo partiti presto ma mi aspettavo di incontrare più gente.

Parte bassa crostaccia, parzialmente sciabile con molta decisione o cercando la neve dura dai tanti passaggi; per fortuna solo ultimisima parte. Parte alta ancora farina tranne i punti piu’ esposti al sole con leggera crosta. Visibilita’ scarsa, ma rari sprazzi di pallido sole hanno permesso qualche bella curva.

L'idea era punta paglietta con discesa ad est, ma a sud troppa poca neve e abbiamo ripiegato sul Flassin. 20/30 ski alp.

Ottime condizioni! Praticabile fino in punta, ma non siamo saliti per stanchezza e freddo (si stava coprendo). La parte alta è polvere, solo un pochino appesantita. Sotto la baita la neve permane polverosa e facilissima da sciare: ci credo, con 10 gradi sottozero.

Che dire? 30 cm di polvere bellissima dalla punta fino al parcheggio Ampi spazi vergini e tutte le tracce dei giorni precedenti coperte. Neve solo un un po’ pesante e segnata nel bosco e strada comunque molto bello e divertente anche lì .Tanta neve dappertutto in più pochissime persone stranamente per essere domenica. Meglio di così…
