Parish Church of St. Mary of the Assumption
Details
Description
The current parish church was built in 1814, replacing the primitive one already mentioned in a papal bull in 1177; the latter stood on the same site but was oriented east-west as in use at that time in history.
The bell tower dates back to 1480 and was built by a master builder from Gressoney, Yolli de Vuetto, also the author of the one in Gignod.
Since 2011 the church has housed the ''Parish Treasure Museum,'' precious objects of sacred goldsmith art, some very old, are on public display inside.
