Museum of the Resistance
Details
Description
The Alps, especially during the period of World War II, provided refuge and welcome to those fleeing the Nazi-Fascists.
An exhibition of documents and photographs acquaints people with the journey taken by many fleeing Jews.
A multimedia documentary enriches the photographic exhibit by telling the story of distinguished activists from Valle d'Aosta after the arrest and death of their guide and leader, Emile Chanoux.
This museum space is part of the "Memory of the Alps" project and is part of a cross-border museum network dedicated to the history of the Alpine territory.
