Details
Description
The territory of Ollomont-Valpelline was affected by mining from the 1700s until the early 1900s, the area was extremely rich in chalcopyrite, from which copper was extracted, a condition that profoundly changed the social, economic and cultural life of the valley. In 2014, a project was launched with the aim of redeveloping the area to try to recover its historical and cultural heritage.
The structures of the deposits have been secured and exhibition and reception spaces have been created to give as much information as possible about these interesting sites.
