Description

This medieval house dating back to the 15th century is located in the hamlet of Ayez, before the main town of Allein.It is built entirely of exposed stone with almost no mortar, and has beautiful stone windows worked with an inverted keel motif.
The original building, which has been renovated, houses the permanent museum of the Coumba Frèida Carnival, one of the most characteristic carnivals in the Alps.The costumes of the Landzette, the typical carnival masks of the Great St. Bernard Valley, are on display.
